The rest of Shadowclans territory.

Blackheart shrugged and followed Darkclaw "What are we tracking?"

Darkclaw looked around, seeing it clear around. "Brackenstar is up to somethhing.. hes been going out to frequently and he wont tell me.. i want to find out where hes gone.." as he spoke a raindrop fell on his muzzle. "Rain?! Your got to be kidding me. comeon we must track him down before the scent gets hidden!"

Blackheart nodded and raced along sniffing the ground as he went.

Darkclaw followed the scent far and long till he banged his head into a tree and saw that the scent disapeared. he looked down "DAMNIT Starclan you could of atleast held the rain alittle longer!" he noticed how muddy his paws were from all the rainy mud, he turned "We got to try after the rain.. see if we can catch the scent again.."

Blackheart Suddenly saw something and raced over he snifefd ar a clumpof fur caught on a tree "BRackenstars!" he declared tumphantly "hewent this way"

Darkclaw blinked and raced after, catching the scent himself "Well done son! how could i doubt you.. hurry! lets go" He bolted of in the direction sniffing

blackheart grinned and followed Darkclaws, After a wgile the trail slowed by the river.

Darkclaw raised his head. finally his mind taking effect of where he was "Oh Holy Starclan were in Thunderclan territory! How come you didnt warn me i led us here?!" He turned sharply to Blackstar, his brown fur all drenched in water

"I didnt know either!" protested Blackhert.

Darkclaw pondered "Ok his scent drifts of to this river.. I cant scent more.. We GOT to get back. im the last cat who should be expected on others territory.. Comeon now" he turned till he heard voices "Hide! in that bush" he dived into the nearest bush. nudging Blackheart alittle with him

Blckheart dived into the bush and turned around to per throygh the branches

Darkclaw peeked out to spot Splitstar and Scarlegs Patroling "ack.. the medicine cat and leader? what they doing out so far from camp.." he whispered to blackheart

Scarlegs sighed "I dont know how this sickness is getting about Splitstar.. Longpaw must of got to close to the twolegs and caught something.. we need to keep him away from the other cats.. i already suspect he shared it with Palepaw.. if the queens got it, the Kits could die before they even born.."

Darkclaw kept quiet and listened. it wasnt like him to spy but at this point he had no choice. he shared a sharp glare with Blackheart to warn him to keep quiet

Splitstar nodded "The last thing we need is the whole camp coming down with it" she mewed"You any idea what it yet? its like nothing Ive ever seen before"

Darkclaw waited till they was out of sight "Well.. A new sickness eh.. Lets get back we need to warn the clan to keep away from anything twoleg like.. and Splitstars on 'low' lives so thats something i bet Brackenstar would worry for.. or not.. like he cares" he growled alittle at his last remark. then turned to blackheart "lets get back to our clan. and quick this rain will keep our scents masked. but we need to go before it ends and our scents stick." he didnt wait for blackheart, already speed walking back the way they came

blackheartraced after Darkclaw. to him it didnt seem like Brackenstar would think too deeply bout the fact Splitstar waslow on lives. Every cat in the forest knew she was the oldest leader. brackenstar hadnt even been born when she becme leader.Besideshe thought Shadiwclan already started to lose its 'fierce' reputation thanks to Brackenstar accepting every rogue in the forest

Darkclaw slowed his pace as he finally reached Shadowclans territory "Ok were safe.. and im soaking wet.. but i think that was a waste of time.. what you think Blackheart?" He said stopping turning back to his Son. with a sharp glare on annoyance of being so wet

"Well, We know Bracenstars Crossing into Thunderclan territory,which is soemthing?"

Darkclaw nodded "Correct.. we got to try again.. Next time he goes out on his stroll. i want you to follow him. Dont tell no one else though.. this has to stick between us till we know the truth of what hes up too.."

Blackheart nodded "Yes dad, And Have you seen Slash and Bloodteeth recently? They went out on patrol yesterday and I havent seen them since"

Darkclaw looked around "Hmph.. didnt notice them.. They better not be making kissy faces.. This is a clan they got to help protect.. not go off making kits.." he sighed "Come on lets get back before the others wonder where we went.."

"Ok" said Blackheart and slipped into camp, The rain had made his fur go an even slicker black

Brckenstar trotted into teh forest and into a clearing before looking back at Darkclaw.
